About the job

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying machine learning models that enhance our payroll and HR solutions. You’ll analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to make informed business decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions, optimize our operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform.

Requirements:

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of deploying successful machine learning models in a production environment.
  • Strong expertise in Python, R, or similar programming languages and machine learning libraries
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their machine learning tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to solve complex problems in payroll, HR, and financial operations.
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI/ML technologies into Niural's platform, enhancing functionality and user experience.
  • Lead data science projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver measurable value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI/ML, applying new techniques and methodologies to maintain Niural's leadership position.

Interview Process

Candidates should send a resume or GitHub profile to be considered.

There are 4 steps to the process:

  • Initial Screen - 30 mins
  • Technical Interview - 60 minutes
  • Practical Programming Interview or take-home exam- 2 hours
  • Behavioral Interview - 60 mins

You will then receive the offer decision.

Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Feature Leads, and Project Leads are welcome to apply but the role will need someone who can do hands-on programming regularly to write integration tests.
